Where and when
Tech for Good is another catchword that is making the rounds and getting a lot of attention. However, many people don't really know what it means. Generally speaking, the term is used to describe any situation in which technology fulfills a social purpose. Of course, a start-up, which can be seen as part of the Tech for Good movement, can also be included in other categories, such as clean tech or health tech.
Regardless of definition, there are many ecological and social challenges that can be addressed through technological solutions. The term can also be applied to organizations in education, health, sustainability, welfare, community, integration, etc.
However, being a force behind social responsibility is not always the primary mission of a business enterprise. There have been many innovations that have had an enormous effect on market developments which came from enterprises that were only trying to maximize their profits.
Based on real examples, we will show the potential and relevance Tech for Good projects have for the development of our society, and how start-ups can play a key role in this area.
