Lisa Eckey – Cryptographer, Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Researcher, Security Analyst.

Lisa studied Information Systems in Münster and IT-Security in Bochum. For her Master’s thesis on efficient smart contracts, she won the Women’s STEM Award 2016, which is awarded by Telekom and Audimax for outstanding theses. Since 2016, she is a PhD student at Ruhr-University Bochum, researching blockchain technology for the workgroup of Applied Cryptography of Prof. Dr. Sebastian Faust. Her research aims to improve security of smart contracts and to make cryptographic currencies more scalable. She is the lead developer for PERUN - a project that builds provable secure, efficient payment networks over Ethereum.
