Toposens
Toposens developed the world’s first 3D ultrasound sensor. Applying the echolocation principle, off-the-shelf hardware components are combined with sophisticated algorithms to enable object detection in 3D, similar to how bats see with ultrasound. The resulting sensor system is very affordable, small, lightweight, and robust to environmental influences such as direct sunlight, darkness, fog, dust or rain. Toposens 3D sensors are applied to highly automated and autonomous vehicles for close-range coverage, mobile robots for navigation and collision avoidance and in building automation to detect, count and track people without invading their privacy.
