entech Meetup well attended
On Monday 21st of May we had our first entech MEETUP at hubraum in Berlin. Given that it was raining heavily we were happy to welcome a lot of interested participants to the event, among them the folks currently attending StartAlliance’s Energytech & Cleantech program.
Ira Garbuz from Nuventura explained the environmental risks of the SF6 gas and Nuventura's exciting solution to mitigate this problem. The company has developed the next generation of gas insulated switchgear, is an absolutely essential component of an electricity grid. SF6 (sulphur hexafluoride), the most potent greenhouse gas in existence, is being predominantly used as an electrically insulating medium and often also as a breaking medium. Nuventura’s aim is to eliminate SF6 from the electrical grid while improving the switchgear‘s performance. They do so by simply replacing SF6 inside the switchgear with the air that we all breathe - this is possible through their unique and patented technology.
Christopher von Gumppenberg, CEO of Kugu Home, introduced their smart metering product which helps facility managers and tenants to reduce costs and energy consumption. Kugu has developed a digital toolbox for real estate which digitizes building technologies and automizes related business processes. Kugu’s focus is on the heat cost billing and optimization of heating systems. The Kugu platform is open for a variety of applications and modularly expandable. The investment in the infrastructure is only necessary once.
Our third speaker Dr. Günther Hoffmann, founder of Lexa Texer, unfortunately could not make it due to the poor weather and traffic conditions. LexaTexer is next generation software for predictive analytics, optimized for Legal, Health, Compliance, Customer Interaction and Predictive Maintenance use cases. Data collection and processing is as easy as copying files into a secure virtual data room.
