STARTUPNIGHT (SUN) has been part of the startup ecosystem in Berlin, Germany and Europe for 10 years now – so it's time for SUN X!
SUN has been highlighting the innovation potential of startups and supporting the ecosystem from day one with interest-based matchmaking and interaction between startups, corporates & investors.
For our anniversary, we have chosen a bold approach and present the SUN X – Digital Week from September 7 to Sept 10! SUN X has the goal to provide insights in different domains, on how the world is changing. With talks, discussions, workshops, exhibitions of startups SUN X will touch the most relevant areas in digitization from the corporate and startup economy over to incubation & acceleration, diversity and recruiting all the way to technology and innovation.
SUN X takes place at Deutsche Telekom's Representative Office, Französische Straße 33 a-c, 10117 Berlin, with the exception of Food Night which will take place at The Digital Eatery, Unter den Linden 17, 10117 Berlin.

SUN X – Diversity Night – Sept. 07th, 2022
Diversity is a key ingredient for better decision-making among teams. Homogenous groups may be susceptible to groupthink, while diverse teams can leverage a greater variety of perspectives and are likely to consider information more thoroughly and accurately.
Teams that include different viewpoints or thinking styles (cognitive diversity) solve problems faster and produce more and higher-quality intellectual property.
Mixed-gender, mixed-racial and mixed-aged teams can better manage group conflicts compared to homogenous teams and can better maximize creativity among team members.
We will use discussions, panels, talks, workshops and challenges to approach this multifaceted topic.

SUN X – Recruiting Night – Sept. 08th, 2022
On September 8, 2022, Startupnight will be all about recruiting. Whether it is a corporate, SME or startup, all companies are facing the same challenges: To persuade people to trade their time in exchange for working at a specific company.
Ads and job fairs alone are no longer enough to attract attention. That's why we focus on the topic of recruiting and alternative ways to approach future employers. SUN X – Food Night – Sept. 09th, 2022
Whether it is plant or cell-based meat, food waste or personalized nutrition, proteins from bioreactors or autonomous farming machines – the agrifood sector has changed dramatically by innovations of startups.
Consumers, especially younger generations, have changed their food consumption towards a healthier and more sustainable lifestyle. Keeping the climate change in mind, agrifood companies are rapidly having to transform their businesses to the next level.
Digital- and tech-driven agrifood innovations disrupt the established food industry fast, the demand to adapt is high. Therefor this year's Startupnight (SUN) focuses after 2019 again on the topic of food.
On September 9, 2022, the New Food Conference and Food Startupnight – powered by Crowdfoods – will be all about Food and Agritech. We offer an exciting conference program as well as tasty and inspiring food startup pitches.
Tech Awards Gala – Sept. 10th, 2022
Last, but not least, we are partnering with WLOUNGE to present the 2nd Tech Awards Gala at Waldorf Astoria Berlin. Under the Motto "Women Drive Innovation" the Tech Awards Gala – under the patronage of Brigitte Mohn – has the aim to promote Germany as a leading European ecosystem, as a talent, developer and innovation hub for visionaries and their investors, and the number 1 spot to engage with key players of the tech industry.
