Gerhart is an enthusiastic entrepreneur and founder of several startups, a trained chef and a graduate in tourism management & economics. He was managing director for a restaurant chain with over 55 outlets. During his studies he swung the wooden spoon in the F1 Paddock Club and at the EURO 2008 and worked as a consultant for the tourism industry.

As an external lecturer he teaches "Startup Business & Startup Finance" and "Entrepreneurship & Management" at the IMC Krems.
